2014 Favourites

As 2014 came to a close I started thinking about the favorites I've had throughout this year. This is my first year blogging so I definitely wasn't into beauty products as much at the start of the year as I am now. Even though it was quite difficult I've whittled it down to my 14 favorites of  2014.

Soap & Glory Orangeasm Fragrance
I purchased this on the way home from London during the summer and I have been using it ever since. It's a lovely fresh citrusy scent that instantly wakes me up in the morning.

Bioderma
I have been raving about French skincare since I purchased some during the summer. Bioderma is a gods send when your skin gets sensitive and irritated after wearing heavy makeup. It takes absolutely everything off including waterproof eye makeup without irritating my skin.

Nivea Lip Butter
This is the one thing that actually moisturizes my lips. Other lip balms just leave a film over my lips and they are dry again in five minutes. The creamy formula sinks into my lips and keeps them moisturized for a long period of time. I love all of the flavours and I always have a couple on the go at the same time.

Lush Mask of Magnaminty
This is representing all lush face masks. I discovered lush and their face masks this year and I don't know what I was doing without them. They calm my skin when it needs calming, reduces spots and redness when it breaks out. I have tried a couple of the fresh masks as well as the self preserving ones and I have loved every single one of them.

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle
This is a hair savior when it comes to dry damaged hair. It smells amazing and does its job, leaving my hair soft and moisturized. I love using this once a week to treat my hair.

Lush Sea Salt Spray
As I said earlier I discovered lush this year. I thought it was just bath things but I was definitely wrong. Their skincare and hair care is incredible. This sea spray smells amazing and doesn't leave my hair feeling crunchy it gives it texture and adds a slight wave which is great for and everyday hairstyle.

Barry M Jelly Hi Shine - Prickly Pear
This is definitely my most used nail varnish this year. The long lasting gel like shiny formula lasts a good time on the nails, longer than traditional polishes. The colour is a great all year lilac, it's not too bright or too pastel which is great.

Urban Decay Basics Palette
I started experimenting with eyeshadow this year. This is definitely a necessity in any girls makeup bag. It creates gorgeous looks by itself or you can use it with other shadows to create amazing eye looks,

Rommel Match Perfection Concealer
This is an everyday essential for me. I dot it under my eyes for a bit of coverage and highlighting. It doesn't look weird without a full face of makeup and isn't too yellow toned. It's perfect as an everyday medium coverage concealer.

Maybeline Brow Drama
Filling in my brows definitely became popular this year. This product is supposedly a benefit gimme brow dupe, I don't know as I haven't tried it. It's a perfect colour, slightly fills in my brows and keeps them in place. It's great over a brow pencil or powder as well.

Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer
I always thought that bronzer wasn't for pale people and wouldn't suit me but that idea changed in the summer. First off this bronzer smells amazing. It adds a gorgeous bronze glow to the skin and warns up the skin. It's so easy to apply and blend. Any mistake made with this is very easy to blend and fix.

Revlon Lip Butter - Juicy Papaya
I got this for Christmas 2013 and I have made a serious dent in it. It's a perfect natural everyday peach and really suits pale skin. It doesn't dry out the lips and isn't sticky.

Real Techniques Sponge
This is such a great beauty tool and it's also inexpensive which is great. It's great for blending in foundation and concealer for a natural look without losing the coverage. I prefer this sponge over a brush. It's so incredibly easy to use and helps create a flawless base.

Tangle Teezer
I purchased this in April and I honestly don't know what I did without it. It untangles my hair without pulling at it or hurting me. Having thick hair means brushing it was definitely a struggle with the traditional hair brush. This is definitely a great tool for every hair type.

I hope that everyone had a fabulous year and that next year will be even better.
